HomeCloud / Privacy Policy
Your data deserves clarity
Draft privacy notice for HomeCloud. Review and update this page to match the actual app, infrastructure and legal requirements before public launch.
Draft — not a verified description of a live service. Last updated: 17 October 2026. The information below describes intended practices and must be validated before launch.
1. Who operates HomeCloud
HomeCloud is the proposed cloud storage service. For privacy inquiries, contact jay.m_1993@live.com. The operator's full legal identity, registered address and any applicable privacy representative details must be added before launch.
2. Information we expect to process
Depending on the features used, HomeCloud may process an account identifier provided by Sign in with Apple, optional contact details, filenames, file metadata, uploaded file contents, storage usage, subscription status, and security or diagnostic logs.
3. Why we process information
Intended purposes include authenticating customers, providing requested storage, managing quotas and subscriptions, responding to support requests, protecting accounts and meeting legal obligations. The applicable GDPR legal bases must be documented for each purpose before launch.
4. Where files may be stored
The planned infrastructure uses Cloudflare R2 and related Cloudflare services. Actual hosting locations, international transfers, subprocessors and retention terms must be confirmed and disclosed before launch.
5. Sharing and service providers
HomeCloud may use hosting, authentication, analytics, customer support and payment providers as needed to operate the service. Apple may process in-app subscriptions and Stripe may process eligible website payments. Actual integrations must be identified before launch. We do not intend to sell customer file contents.
6. Security
The service is planned to use encrypted connections, private storage, authenticated requests and access controls. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Do not rely on HomeCloud as your only copy of important data while the service is in testing.
7. Retention and deletion
Account data and files should be retained only as needed to provide the service or satisfy legal obligations. Before launch, HomeCloud must publish specific retention periods, account deletion steps and backup deletion timelines.
8. Your rights
Where GDPR applies, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or export personal data, object to certain processing and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Contact support to make a request.
9. Cookies and website analytics
This static website does not intentionally set tracking cookies in its included HTML or JavaScript. Hosting services may process technical request logs. Update this section before adding analytics, marketing tags or third-party widgets.
10. Changes
We may update this notice as HomeCloud develops. Material changes should be communicated appropriately before they take effect.
