HomeCloud / Terms & Policies
Simple terms. Clear expectations.
Draft service terms for HomeCloud. These terms require legal and operational review before subscriptions or storage services are offered.
Draft for review. Last updated: 17 October 2026. This page does not mean HomeCloud subscriptions are currently available.
1. About the service
HomeCloud is a proposed service for storing files selected by customers. The website currently provides product information and early-access contact options. Features and availability may change before launch.
2. Eligibility and accounts
When launched, customers will be responsible for keeping account access secure, supplying accurate information and using HomeCloud in accordance with applicable law.
3. Acceptable use
Customers must not upload or distribute illegal content, infringe others' rights, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with the service or use storage to distribute malware.
4. Storage limits
Proposed plans provide allowances of 50 GB, 200 GB, 1 TB and 2 TB, where 1 GB equals one billion bytes. The app will need to enforce storage limits before accepting uploads. Actual product offerings will be confirmed at launch.
5. Subscriptions and billing
Subscriptions are not yet available through this website. If subscriptions are offered in an Apple app, purchase, renewal, cancellation and refunds may be managed through Apple according to applicable rules. Eligible website purchases may be handled by a separate payment provider. Final pricing and billing terms must be displayed before purchase.
6. Cancellation and downgrades
Customers should be able to cancel future renewals using the relevant payment platform. A clear policy for files exceeding a reduced or expired storage allowance, any grace period, and deletion warnings must be published before launch.
7. Your files
Customers retain their rights in files they upload and are responsible for having permission to store them. HomeCloud requires only the permissions necessary to host, secure and deliver those files.
8. Availability and backups
Service interruptions can occur. Until the service and recovery procedures are independently tested, customers should keep their own backups of important files. Specific availability commitments must not be assumed.
9. Privacy
Read the Privacy Policy for the proposed handling of personal information.
10. Contact and legal details
Questions may be sent to jay.m_1993@live.com. The business's legal name, registered address, applicable governing law, consumer withdrawal rights and mandatory statutory terms must be completed before launch.
